Fired Up & Ready to Go

NAACP Temple Branch 6791-b Youth Council is reactivating our Youth Council.
We are thrilled to announce that the NAACP Youth Council (Youth up to age 20) is on track to be reactivated by the end of May 2026! We are looking forward to welcoming the many young people who have been patiently waiting for this exciting new chapter.
We are also proud to welcome Isaac Cole as our Youth Advisor. In his letter of intent, he shared his commitment to “help guide the next generation of leaders,” and his vision to create a “structured, supportive, and engaging environment” where youth can grow in leadership, civic awareness, and service. He also emphasized mentorship, programming, and preparing young people to become advocates for equity and positive change in their schools and communities.
We are equally excited to welcome Jerico JD Taylor as President of the Youth Council. In his letter of intent, Jericho shared his desire to strengthen youth involvement, promote unity, and create opportunities for young voices to be heard. He expressed his commitment to leadership, advocacy, and helping guide initiatives that reflect the values of the NAACP in our community.
This reactivation represents more than a return—it is a renewed investment in our youth, their leadership, and the future of our community. We can’t wait to see all that this next generation will accomplish.

For our youngest activists, junior youth councils are for youth under the age of 13. These local councils provide interactive and entertaining instruction on the history of Africans in the Diaspora.
