General Scholarship
The NAACP Temple Branch will award scholarships open to all who meet the academic and financial need requirements.
ROXIE MOORE SCHOLARSHIP
Roxie Mae Moore devoted most of her adult life to serving others. Mrs. Moore was active in the Temple Branch NAACP from the 1970s until her passing in 2016.
She earned the David Henderson Jr. Award, the NAACP Temple Branch Roll of Honor Award, and her Silver Life membership certificate during her involvement in the NAACP.
Our pleasure will be to present our highest scholarship, the Roxie Mae Moore Award, to a deserving student.

STEM SCHOLARSHIP
A STEM scholarship is a financial award specifically designated for students pursuing education and careers in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). These scholarships aim to support individuals who show promise and dedication in these disciplines, encouraging their academic and professional growth. These scholarships play a crucial role in promoting diversity and excellence in STEM fields by providing opportunities for individuals who might face financial barriers to pursue education and careers in these high-demand and critical areas.

Dear Applicant
Thank you for applying for the Temple NAACP Unit Scholarship. This scholarship is for senior high school students graduating in May 2026 from a high school in the Temple Independent School District, and will be attending an accredited college, university, or approved post-secondary institution in the fall semester of 2026.
The due date for your application packet is Friday, April 3, 2026. Applications are located in the counseling office as an option. Please mail to the address above. Along with your application, you must include an essay, a current official high school transcript, and standardized test scores. All applicants will be interviewed. Please make arrangements to attend the interview now. The recipients of the scholarships will be announced and recognized at our program scheduled for Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.
